In 2001 at an autograph fair in the UK I had the pleasure of meeting Ed Mitchell - Apollo 14, Dick Gordon - Apollo 12 and Alexei Leonov - the first man to walk in Space.
I thought for a second and then had the following conversation with Ed Mitchell.

Me: I hope you don't mind me asking you this question. There are some people who have been convinced that the moon landings never took place, have you ever been confronted by one of them?
Ed: (Laughing!) Oh sure, quite a few times. Do you think that these guys (pointing at cosmonauts Leonov and Volynov) would ever let us get away with such a thing!
Me: Thanks Ed, I couldn't agree more!
